Vince
Vince became a permanent resident at Cat Welfare in 2015 when he was approximately 4 years old. His large size and figure always draws attention and sometimes people ask if he is a pregnant female due to his chubby sides and weight (approximately 15 lbs.). He was adopted four times and each time he was returned for not using the litter box so he is now a permanent resident of the shelter. Vince’s favorite spot to hang out is on the screened in porch or out in the fenced in enclosure. One time Vince escaped the fenced in area during a litter delivery and decided to explore the business grounds just south of the shelter. He denied the pleas to return home until he was ready and after that big adventure has never again wandered away. Edith is one of our shyest cats but she thinks Vince is the best thing around. Many times you will find Edith following him from a distance or hanging out nearby. Vince’s favorite staff member is Mary, our lead vet tech. Vince sensed Mary needed a new best buddy when Black Betty passed away and he stepped right up and was happy to fill the void. Vince reacts whenever he hears Mary’s voice and he loves to follow Mary around as she does her medical rounds and checks on the other cats. He can get rather chatty with her and it is so cute to listen to him talk to her. Vince loves attention from people once he gets to know them. He will scratch the ground to show you how excited he is and will ask for pets. Vince hopes that you’ll choose him to be your friend.
