About

Cat Welfare has been the preeminent cat shelter in Central Ohio since 1945!  We are a no-kill shelter and a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization funded solely by donations.  Food, shelter and veterinary care are provided for approximately 250 stray felines each day.  Most of our cats are free roaming throughout the shelter.  Also, you may find them in the cupboards, in the sunroom, playing on cat walks and relaxing in outdoor secure enclosures.

Because of space constraints, Cat Welfare is a limited intake facility.  However, even when the shelter’s population is at full capacity, we always accept pregnant cats, injured cats and cats previously adopted from Cat Welfare.  Cats that are not adopted are welcome to live indefinitely in the care and comfort of our shelter.

Looking Back:  Points of Pride for 2021

It was a transitional year for Cat Welfare as we adjusted to the challenges posed by the pandemic. We are excited about the positive outcomes made possible by the outpouring of love, encouragement, and support from our members and friends. Kudos to the amazing staff, volunteers, and the Board of Directors for this extraordinary team effort.
